The TaylorMade R9 460 driver is one of several of the company's drivers that offers golfers the ability to customize their club at a moment's notice without sacrificing the stability, forgiveness, and distance that Taylor Made is known for.

The R9 460 launches shots, on average, 1-degree higher with 300 to 400 rpm less spin than R9. The R9 460 driver big, broad face features "inverted cone" technology to max out distance on misses. Its stick is easier on the wallet than other adjustable-face angle drivers and is on par with the majority of fixed face angle drivers.

 

 

Flight Control Technology lets TaylorMade R9 460 driver change loft, face angle and lie for up to 40 yards of side-to-side trajectory variation. Its 'Inverted Cone Technology' offers max forgiveness on off-center hits. A deeper CG helps to launch shots high and long.

 

TaylorMade R9 460 driver Features 

 

• Company testing reveals that shots struck one-inch off-center lose just 2 mph ball speed versus center hits. That's the equivalent of four yards, based on 100 mph swing speed.
•  Neutral (N) and Right (R) are two hosel settings (among eight total) that tweak face angle, loft and lie. Different settings can alter launch angle as much as 2-degrees and backspin up to 1,000 rpm.
• TaylorMade R9 460 driver targets those who prefer a simpler, easier-to-use big stick than the fully loaded R9 driver.
•  The 45.75-inch shaft is longer than R9 (by 0.5-inches), lighter (by five grams), and has a more flexible tip. The premise is to help you increase swing speed and launch.

  I bought this driver because the shaft on my dymo wore out. this is the longest driver i have ever hit another great driver fromm taylormade any handicap should have this in their bag.

  Best purchase ever!!! I can not begin to tell you the improvement I received from the R9 460 Driver. I quickly fell in love. Distance, feel, and accuracy are far superior to the rest.

  Great job guys,keep up the good work. By far the easiest driver I have ever hit. At least 20 yards longer than my last club. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

  The R9 460 Driver is a great combination of power, forgiveness and feel. This thing hits really long. My first good hit and I was sold. The trajectory was great and the ball flew a mile. Highly recommend.

  The club is a little longer front to back than the R9 and is verging on being triangular shape but stop just short and still looks pretty good. As the weight is further back the flight is a little higher on average than the R9 but still penetrating.
